Piktori i mirënjohur Shpend Bengu bëhet i pari artist shqiptar, që do të jetë pjesë e enciklopedisë së artit modern pamor. Ky edicion përfshin periudhën 81-vjeçare të Artit Kontemporan Botëror, nga viti 1940 deri në vitin 2021 dhe përkon me 25-vjetorin e themelimit të Shtëpisë botuese De Agostini, një nga shtëpitë botuese më të mëdha evropiane.

E ka zgjodhur Bengun për të qenë pjesë, në “Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea 2021” (Atlasin e Artit Bashkëkohor 2021) i cili do të ketë 1.000 faqe, dhe do të shtypet në disa milion kopje për t’u shpërndarë më tej në të gjithë botën.
Bengu është një artist i famshëm shqiptar, një përfaqësues i lartë i artit modern konceptual që shquhet per stilin original, gjuhën metaforike të papërseritshme.

Kuratorja e këtij Edicioni 2021, është Dr. Stefania Pieralice, Drejtoreshë e disa pavioneve të edicioneve të Bienales së Artit të Venecias, gjithashtu shkrimtare dhe autore e shumë rubrikave të artit në peridokët e sektorit të Artit. Disa nga konferencat e saj më të rëndësishme janë ato pranë Senatit të Republikës Italiane, Dhomës së Deputetëve, Akademia Nazionale dei Lincei, Universitetit të Romës “La Sapienza”, etj.
Në komitetin shkencor të këtij vëllimi, bën pjesë Gianni Dunil, kurator i Bienales së Artit të Venecias dhe Paolo Levi, simbol i “mito Bolaffi”, si dhe kurator dhe historian i “Catalogo Nazionale Bolaffi di Arte Moderna” dhe Drejtor i “Catalogo Nazionale d’Arte Moderna” i botuar nga Giorgio Mondadori.
Në grupin e punës për realizimin e këtij vëllimi është dhe një Komision Ndërkombëtar me kritikë të artit dhe konsulentë, të cilët kanë zgjedhur artistët përfaqësues të artit bashkëkoho.r

Leading product in the publishing field, this volume is the longest-running contemporary art yearbook thanks to its first edition published in 1940 and introduced by the intellectual Massimo Bontempelli. With its 81 years of history, the yearbook will also celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2021 with the De Agostini publishing house in fact in 1996 De Agostini obtained the Atlas, previously printed by the publisher Fenice 2000.
Authors
In this special edition (25 years with DeAgostini) there will be important contributions and new columns including a section dedicated to eight articles chosen by Daniele Radini Tedeschi, one of the most important names and key figure in the international panorama for the development of XXI century contemporary art, and texts written by Pierre Restany, Hans Eckstein and Jean Louis Ferrier.
Publishing house De Agostini, founded in 1901, is one of the most important European publishing houses and its Geographic Atlas has been studied all over the world. The joint venture between De agostini editore spa and Gruppo Planeta’s Editorial Planeta Sau, the first international publisher of books in Spanish, was a great success for the company. Furthermore, De agostini owns the famous publishing house UTET.
WHAT’S NEW IN THIS SPECIAL ISSUE
After the success of the previous editions, our Atlas, in addition of showing the complete Italian artistic context with critical texts, images and quotes, will host a section of studies in the first pages of the book addressed at the most interesting artists of our time. This narrative part will be a special recognition for those who challenge eras, trends, traditions with their artworks, generating an art unique and innovative that is also a “Symbol”.
This edition of the Atlas will also continue to analyze the leading artistic figures of the Italian twentieth century up to the present day; it will be a journey through the history of art from De Chirico to Guttuso, from Morandi to Balla, to Arte Povera with Pistoletto, Merz and Kounellis. The first part of the volume is reserved to the art market, the collectors, quotations and sales indices.
Another editorial news is the section dedicated to the artistic movements and to the new avant-gardes: the manifestos concerning the aesthetic movements of the contemporary world and theorized by the artists world will be published.
THE PROFESSIONALS
The work team has been enriched by important personalities from the world of culture and art history. The curator of the volume is Stefania Pieralice, director of some foreign pavilions in various editions of the Venice Art Biennale, writer and author of interesting art columns in art magazines. She gave lectures in the italian Senate and Chamber of Deputies; Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and in the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Part of the scientific committee are Gianni Dunil, former curator of the Biennale di Venezia Art for the Dominican Republic, and Paolo Levi, symbol of the “Bolaffi myth” as historical curator of the “Bolaffi National Catalog of Modern Art” and former Director of the “Catalog National Modern Art” published by Giorgio Mondadori. Then there is an International Commission of art critics and consultants who, on the Italian territory, will point out the most interesting contemporary artists.
